Mr. Boyes drown while on a fishing trip to Canada. Mr. Boyes, who had been in the refrigeration business in Jamestown, New York for 20 years, had fished and hunted in Canada for nearly 25 years, his wife said.
He was born in Warren, Ohio, Dec 17, 1902, attended Champion High School, Warren, and Geneva College, Beaver Falls, Pa. He was a member of Moon Brook Country Club and the Loyal Order of Moose.
Surviving are his wife, Ruby L. Boyes; his mother, Mrs. Meta Boyes, Warren, Ohio; brothers, William Boyes of Warren, Ohio and Delbert Boyes of Lancaster, N.C.; and one sister, Mrs. Paul Gimbel, Warren, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday at Henderson-Lincoln Funeral Home, with Rev. Artur M. Friberg, pastor of the Zion Lutheran Church, Frewsburg, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Cemetery.
