DEATH OF CHRISTIAN INTERMILL

Last Friday afternoon the remains of Christian Intermill, who passed away at Belt [Butte], Montana, December 11th of pneumonia, and was brought here for interment, was laid to rest beside those of his wife in Dayton cemetery. He was one of the early settlers of Burnside township north of town, moving away from this county about eighteen years ago. He was born at Donne, Switzerland, October 19, 1828, being 80 years, 1 month, and 22 days of age at his death. He was a faithful member of the German Evangelical church about forty years, and united with the M.E. church about three years ago. He leaves to mourn his death six children and eleven grandchildren, the wife and two children having preceded him to that better land. Mr. Intermill was a man of intense energy, and remained active up to his last sickness far beyond one of his age. Respected by all who knew him, a host of old time friends sympathize with the afflicted family in his death. His funeral was held from Grace M.E. church, Rev. Crawford conducting the services. Only the two youngest daughters were here for the funeral, Mrs. Ella Springer being already here on a visit when her father died, while Mrs. Ida Poole accompanied the remains to this place.
