Roy Vrooman Dies.
Mr. Roy Vrooman, age 21 years old and sixth son of Judge H.P. Vrooman, of this city, died suddenly December 5dth, at Boston, Mass., where he has been with his brother, the Rev. Hiram Vrooman, for about sixteen months, being treated for great spleen [leukemia], the disease which in spite of all the best medicine science could do, finally carried him away. His brother, Frank, of Chicago, was also with him when he died. Roy had apparently improved so much in health a few months ago that he was preparing to come to Council Grove to spend the winter at home, but a sudden attach of the old malady prevented the trip and cut short a life full of great promise, just at the threshold of manhood.
