Margaret Cecelia Anderson was born in Fort Dodge, one of 13 children of James Anderson and Katherine Hartman Anderson. She was the last of this family.
Mr. and Mrs. Smith owned and operated the Coast-To-Coast Store in Eagle Grove for a number of years.
They moved to Rockford in 1972 and Mr. Smith died shortly after.
They are survived by one son, two daughters, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
