The Logan County native was born April 3, 1935. He was a Baptist and a plumber with Hays and Son Plumbing for many years. He was a son of the late Arvin Harris and Loretta Stinson Harris.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Jane Epley Harris; three sons, Harold Harris and his wife, Lee Ann, and Jeff Harris and his wife, Kim, all of Russellville, and Mike Harris and his wife, Terry, of Goldsboro, N.C.; a brother, Joe Harris of Russellville; two sisters, Becky Coon of Portland, Ore., and Ruth Hulsey of Frankfort, Ind.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
