Miss Jessie Ruth Allison, born October 25, 1961 in Delhi, India, the daughter of Methodist missionaries John Richard "Dick" Allison (1928-2001) and Margaret Anne (McGowin) Allison (1929-2003).

She died November 21, 2016.

Will be missed by her sisters Nan Allison (Paul Lucks), Susan Greer (Ed), Sarah Lancaster (Steve), niece Allison O'Bryant (Calan), nephew James Greer. and her HomePlace "sisters" of 26 years, Ruby Truette and Jennifer Pettit.

Over the years Jessie enjoyed participating in Special Olympics and Metro Parks disABILITIES (Special Recreation) programs, excelling in dance, swimming and gymnastics; She loved her job at Kroger. As a member of Belmont United Methodist Church she took joy in carrying the cross for worship services. Remembering her smile brings light and joy to everyone who knew Jessie.

With thanks to the staff at HomePlace, Inc. for the wonderful and loving care provided over the years. We also extend our appreciation to the HomePlace board for their vision and guidance. Homeplace is a supported living home for adults with intellectual disabilities and a ministry of Belmont United Methodist Church.

Thank you to Alive Hospice for the additional support provided during the last few months.

Burial at the Allen Family Cemetery in Caney Springs, TN on Saturday, November 26th at 2p.m.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 1st, 3-4:30p.m. and Memorial service at 4:30p.m. at Belmont United Methodist Church. Reception until 6 p.m.to follow.
