Flora B. Weeks, 97, of Rutland, died Nov. 25, 2002, at Eden Park Nursing Home. She was born in Rutland, on March 31, 1905, the daughter of Robert and Delia (Crossman) Weeks.
A graduate of the Rutland Hospital Training School in 1932, Flora worked for many years as a private duty nurse in the Rutland area. In 1975 she received an honorary life membership in the Rutland County Nurses' Association. She was a life-long student of Vermont history and family genealogy, and a member of several historical associations, including the Vermont chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, of which she was state historian. She was a founding member of the Crown Point Road Association and for many years was its archivist-historian. She was a member of the First Baptist Church since 1927.
She will be missed by her family and by all who knew of and shared her love of Vermont.
Survivors include two nephews,and a niece.She was predeceased by three brothers, N. Wendell Weeks, Clarence P. Barlow Sr. and Frank R. Barlow.
Burial will be in East Clarendon Cemetery.
