The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, at 7:00 PM at Gass Haney Funeral Home with Rev. Mariano Menendez officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 PM until service time, also at the funeral home. Interment will be on Friday at 11:00 AM at the O'Kay Cemetery, rural Monroe, Nebraska. Memorials are suggest to Word of Life Church for missions.
Dorothy Mae Brandt was born on November 21, 1921, in the O’Kay Community, Monroe Township, Platte County, Nebraska, to Joachim and Ottylia (Gertsch) Brandt. She accepted Christ Jesus as her personal Savior on April 3, 1932, during a revival service at the O’Kay Church. Dorothy graduated from Monroe High School in 1939, and went on to attend the Assemblies of God Bible College in Springfield, Missouri. Dorothy lived in Columbus, Nebraska, most of her life where she retired from Becton-Dickinson in 1987 after 20 years of employment. She was a member of the Word Of Life Church in Columbus.
