Walter was the son of Earl & Florence Tuttle, Watersmeet, Mi. He was the oldest of four sons. He attended school in Watersmeet and was employed by the U. S. Forest Service. He loved the adventure of traveling, was an avid rock collector and had a large gun collection. He was part of the crew that helped discover oil on the north slope of Alaska. He worked on the Alaskan pipeline and liked it so much in
Alaska that he continued to live there for the duration of his life. He was later employed as a maintenance worker in the resort business until the time of his death. He never married but left a niece, Christine Tuttle and a nephew, Steven Tuttle, children of his younger brother, Earl Tuttle.

WALTER TUTTLE

Anchorage, Alaska---Walter Tuttle, 53, a former Watersmeet resident, died in Anchorage. Mr. Tuttle was born Nov. 27, 1940 in Watersmeet, son of the late Earl and Florence Tuttle. He attended local schools and was employed by the U. S. Forest Service in Watersmeet. In 1960, he moved to Anchorage where he was employed as a maintenance worker in the resort business. He enjoyed crafts. Survivors include three brothers, Earl Francis( Mary) White Pine, Mi. Robert Buddy (Peggy) of Watersmeet and Richard Raymond of Ripon, Wi. He is further survived by his aunt Gladys Spargo of Watersmeet, an aunt Laura Schrader of Iron River, Mi. Aunt Anna Marie Schrader of Alsip, Il. and his uncle Kenneth Schrader of Alsip, Il. as well as several cousins. Services will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. (CST) at the Brown Funeral Home, Bruce Crossing, the Rev. Dan Knepper officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 9 p,m, at the funeral home.
