OBITUARY

Mr. J. A. Anderson, formerly of Dayton, Iowa, passed away at his home in Sioux City, Iowa, Sunday morning March 18, 1906. Mr. Anderson was born in Sweden September 21, 1857 and came to Dayton, Iowa, the same year. He was united in marriage to Augusta Carlson July 11, 1887. They lived on their farm three miles west of town until the year 1900 when he was obliged to leave on account of ill health. They lived at Lake City until 1903 when they moved to Sioux City. While in Dayton he was a faithful member of the Lutheran church and when he died belonged to the Lutheran church at Sioux City. The disease was heart trouble from which he was a patient sufferer for about seven years. He lived a quiet and peaceable Christian life and his kind heart won him many friends both in this community where he was raised and in Sioux City where he died. The funeral was held from the Lutheran church Wednesday, March 21, Rev. Christenson conducting the services and his remains were laid to rest in the Dayton cemetery. He is deeply mourned by his faithful wife, two daughters and adopted son, his aged mother, his brother and sister and many others. The many friends of the family sympathize with them in their sad hour of loss.
