FRAZEYSBURG - Gleneva June Commeans, 84, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Thursday evening, January 20, 2011 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice.

Born June 3, 1926 in Nashport, Ohio she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Geneva (Noland) Fairall and was a graduate of Nashport High School. Mrs. Commeans was a life-long resident of the Nashport-Frazeysburg area and was a member of the Nashport United Methodist Church. She was active in the Senior Citizens of Dresden and she enjoyed traveling, riding trains and canal boats, and watching dirt track stock car racing. Mrs. Commeans retired form Essex Wire Company after 20 years of services.

Surviving are three sons, Robert Commeans of Frazeysburg, Wayne Commeans of Zanesville and David (Susie) Commeans of Dresden; three daughters, Charlotte (Jerry) Cowgill of Cardington, Ohio, Sharon (Tracy) Loughman of Westerville, Ohio and Carolyn Sullivan of Knightdale, North Carolina; a sister, Ruth (Roy) Flowers of Kirkersville, Ohio; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Commeans whom she married August 23, 1947 and who died April 14, 1994; a son, Richard Commeans; two brothers, Eugene Fairall and Kenneth Fairall and a sister, Irene Coverdale.

Calling hours will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil-Orr & Chute Funeral Home, 110 Third Street.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2011 at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
