Jeffrey Wayne “Jeffy” Beckett, 58, of Barboursville and Florida, passed away Monday, November 28, 2016.
He was born April 3, 1958, in West Hamlin, a son of Nila Jean Thompson Beckett of Barboursville, and the late Darrell 'Bub' Beckett.
He was a retired employee of CSX Transportation.
Jeffy is also survived by his daughters, Shannon and Scott Lynd of Worthington, KY., and Ashley and Danielle Lively of Ashland, two sisters, June Beckett of Huntington and Joan Turner of Barboursville, three brothers and sisters-in-law, Jerry and Cindy Beckett and Jimmy and Mitzi Beckett, all of Barboursville, and Jody and Kathy Beckett of Ona, WV., five grandchildren Noah Wesley Worthington, Gabriel Logan Worthington, James-Elijah Beckett Lynd, Samuel Ryan Jude Lynd, and Saylor Annabeth Marie Lynd (his “little punkin”), his best friend, Peyton Manning Beckett, and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. Jeffy lived a full life, always making everyone around him laugh. He loved and cherished his grandchildren. He left behind a multitude of family, friends, and classmates.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Johnny Riley and Pastor Rick Glass. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery, Salt Rock.
