MORLEYS CELEBRATE GOLDEN WEDDING
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred C. Morley, 5 Rosedale
Blvd., will celebrate their Golden Wedding
Anniversary with an Open House Oct. 11,
from 3 to 5 p.m. at the First United Methodist
Church.
Alfred Morley, then of Geneva, Ohio, and the
former Hazel Lee Patterson, of Jeannette, PA;
were married Oct. 14, 1920, in Pennsylvania.
Their sons, Alfred, Jr., of Connecticut; and
Russell, Hopkinsville, KY; will be present
for the celebration, as will the couple's
seven grandchildren.
Another son, Warren, died in combat in 1944,
while serving with the United States Air Corps.

Alfred Morley, 81, 5 Rosedale Blvd., died
Saturday morning at Fisher-Titus Memorial
Hospital of a sudden illness.
Born in Painesville, Mr. Morley was a 39
year resident of Norwalk, coming from
Geneva, Ohio. He was a retired labor
consultant for the Ohio Association of
Contractors.
He was a Veteran of World War 1 and World
War II, serving in the Army, and was a
member of the First United Methodist Church.
He was a 60-year member of the Masonic
Lodge of Geneva, and a member of the American
Legion, Sons of the American Revolution, and
the Elks. He was a member of the Huron
Metropolitan Housing Board, the Huron County
Draft Board, the Carpenters Apprentice
Council, and was a member of the Board of
Trustees of Services for Aging.
Mr. Morley is survived by his wife of 56 years,
Hazel; two sons, Alfred (Pete) Morley, Jr.,
Darien, Conn.; and Russell, of Livonia, Mich.;
seven grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.
Services were held at 1:30 p.m. today at Heaston
Gerber Funeral Home, with the Rev. Oden Haynes
of the First United Methodist Church officiating.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery.
