Preceded in death by parents Mae and Ed Nordquist; brother, John Nordquist, all of Chicago, IL. Having shared her life, the following carry forth her memories: beloved husband of 60 years, Dr. Joseph Miller; children Cathy (Juan) Martinez, Fargo ND; Michael (Lolly), Salt Lake City, UT; John (Michelle), East Bethel MN; Mark (Sharon), Woodbury MN; Mary (Bill) Conati, Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren Michael, Katelyn, Andrew, Natalie & Jeremy.
Dawn was born on April 23, 1934 and raised in Chicago. Dawn made her home in Fargo, ND for many years before retiring to Scottsdale, AZ. Dawn had a special love of Native American culture and art. An avid reader, she was passionate about European history, museums, traveling, cooking, nature (hiking, birding, camping) and the many beautiful years at Blue Lake. A life-long Chicago Cubs fan, her dream to see the Cubbies win a World Series in her lifetime was finally realized! Dawn was very involved in her church and found her greatest joy in her grandchildren.
She wanted the celebration of her life to be colorful. Visitation at Nativity Catholic Church, Fargo ND from 12:30pm-2:30pm on Monday, December 12, 2016 with a memorial Mass following at 2:30pm. Internment at St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Holdingford, MN at 3pm December 13, 2016.
