Jenney Lou (Ammons) Brahosky, 81, of Jeannette, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her devoted family.

She was born Jan. 12, 1935, in Fairview, W. Va., a daughter of the late Alphas G. and Sarah Tennant Ammons.

Jenney was a graduate of Jeannette High School and started working at Bell Telephone Co. After losing her husband in 1974, Jenney worked at CNG Transmissions in Grapeville while raising her four children. She was a member of the Ascension Church Jeannette, an active member of the Lincoln Heights Civic Center and enjoyed a good game of bingo. Jenney was a compassionate, generous, sweet mother and a great friend to all that knew her.

In addition to her parents, Jenney was predeceased by her husband, Richard H. Brahosky; her brother, Dave Ammons; a sister-in-law, Patty Ammons; and a brother-in-law, James Shaw. She is survived by her four children, Glenn Brahosky and wife, Michelle, of Jacksonville, N.C., Bonnie Flasher and husband, Mark, Kelley Boggs and husband, Randy, all of Greensburg, and Danita Brahosky, of Jeannette; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony and Kristen Brahosky-LaCoe, Mac Flasher and Rachael and Tanya Boggs; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Sue Shaw, of Jeannette; a brother, A. Glenn "Tuff" Ammons, of Terre Hill; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Ascension Church with Father Paul A. Lisik as celebrant. Interment will take place in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hempfield.
