She joined the Springhill Zion Baptist Church in 1887 under Rev. Major Ross. She was married to Rev. J.F.G. Cossey on February 15, 1910, and unto this union ten children were born.
Mrs. Cossey was well known in her community as a loving mother and friend to all she met. She was a faithful church worker and fulfilled her duties as long as she was able. After a long illness the Lord called her to the great beyond February 2, 1959.
She is survived by five daughter, four sons, four sisters, two brothers, and 29 grandchildren, a host of relatives and friends.
