James B. Adkins age 71 of Flat Rock, Alabama passed away Monday night, September 14, 2015.
James retired from Mountain Pallets, and attended the Floral Crest Seventh Day Adventist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son Adam Adkins; parents Warner and Elda Adkins; brother: Wilbert Adkins; sisters Catherine Blevins and Peggy Hyde.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years Jane Adkins of Flat Rock, Alabama; daughters: Kim Adkins of Ooltewah, TN and Lynette(Jeff)Stewart of Flat Rock, Alabama; brother Lloyd Adkins of Scottsboro, Alabama; sisters: Ethel Yancy of Powder Springs, GA, Karen Russell of Union City GA, Viola Buckner of Mississippi, Sharon Jones and Janan Carr of Flat Rock, Alabama.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, September 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Ryan Funeral Home.
