Clayton was the son of May Ellen Goggin and William Verne Blood. He married Leona Victoria Radomske on August 11, 1935. They divorced, remarried, then divorced again. Clayton married Vetha Maurine (Peterson) Howe on October 27, 1951 in Vancouver, Washington.

Angler Stricken While on Trip
Clayton Finis Blood, 44, 2175 N.W. Johnson street, died of a heart attack while on a fishing trip with his wife near Mt. Hood Sunday.
Mr. Blood and his wife Vetha, stayed overnight at the Shake Inn at Wemme, near Zigzag Saturday. They intended to go fishing Sunday, but he complained of pains. Mrs. Blood found her husband slumped over in the restroom. Artificial respiration and a resuscitator were of no avail.
Mr. Blood was taken to Hennessey, Goetsch & McGee in Portland.

BLOOD -- August 15. Funeral services for the late Clayton Blood will be held Thursday, August 19, at 1:30 pm at the Chapel of HENNESSEY, GOETSCH & McGEE, NW 17th and Davis. Concluding services Lincoln Memorial Park. Deceased was a member of Machinists union.
