Michael Edward Docalovich, 62, Mayfield, died Wednesday at the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center.

He was born in Carbondale, son of the Edward M. and the late Matilda Helen Mursch Docalovich. Michael served in the Army for three years. He was stationed in Nuremburg, Germany. He was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Parish, Jermyn.

At the VA Medical Center, Michael received exemplary care from the doctors and nurses. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to them. For five years, Michael resided at North Penn Manor, Wilkes-Barre. Michael's extended family filled these five years with friendship and caring. He will be remembered for his generosity, humor and participation in their lives as well. The family wishes to thank Michelle, Judy and all of support staff at North Penn.

Also surviving are two brothers, John, Roaring Brook Twp.; and Edward, Mayfield; four sisters, Christine Miller, Morrisville; Lisa Docalovich, Eynon; Matilda Gillen, Bedford, N.J.; Margaret Bator, Clarks Summit; and many nieces, nephews and a great-niece.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Anne Stout and Roberta Papinchak; niece, Melissa Ann Stout; and nephew, Robert John Stout.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus and Mary Church, Jermyn. Friends may call Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 in the Battenberg Funeral Home, 363 Washington Ave., Jermyn. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
