TACOMA, WA - Earlene Virginia Wandler, age 70, of Yakima, WA, died peacefully on Saturday, August 20th, 2005 at the Franciscan Hospice House in Tacoma after an extended battle with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer.
Born on February 10, 1935, in Yakima, Earlene graduated from Yakima High School and Yakima Business College. She retired after thirty years from the Yakima School District as Accounting Supervisor and continued as a consultant with multiple School Districts. She was a respected member of the community where she volunteered for many organizations including member of the Association of Governmental Accountants, the Washington Association of School Business Officials (WASBO), served on the Board of Directors and Chairman for the Yakima Valley Credit Union, was involved with women's service clubs Altrusa and ZONTA, and a devoted and active member in the Stone Church where she taught Sunday school for 15 years. …(Partial Obituary)

She retired after 30 years with the Yakima School District as an accounting supervisor.Survivors include four children, Yvonne Wheeler, Vickie Eslick, Nita Petry and James Eslick; one brother, Bob Bonwell; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 7 p.m., and the funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m., both at Shaw and Sons Funeral Directors. Committal will follow immediately at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
