Only child of Charles W. and Clissy (born Princess Celestia Harvey) Raymor. He was raised upon the farm in Montgomery Township, Marion County Ohio. However, starting around 1900, his family began moving about, and for some of the time, he too moved with them. Bucyrus, Marion, Dayton in Ohio. New Jersey by 1905. Ohio by 1910, Dayton, Marion, Mansfield and back to Marion. Eventually, he returned to Mansfield, where he lived for a time working as a barber.
Married three* times:
1) Sue Philleans, one son, Harold C Raymor. Sue died in 1907 while visiting family in Delaware, Ohio. Their son Harold had died the previous year (See Find A Grave Memorial 44528125;
2) Janet Drake in New Jersey, two children, Dorothy and Jack. The divorce from Janet Drake was particularly bitter and the court proceedings followed him until his final days.- and -
3) Martha Davis, nee Dodds, no issue.
Clyde eventually purchased a movie theater in Shelby and relocated there with family. He died suddenly of a heart attack in the projection room of the theater during the showing of that night's film and was found when his employees went to check on why the next reel of the movie hadn't advanced.
Clyde's father, Charles W. Raymor was born and raised in Crawford County. His parents were Charles and Susan Raymor. Charles died in 1931.
*The newspapers from Mansfield state he was married to "Lucy Raymore" at the time of his death, however, no marriage record exists and no death certificate or divorce paper has been found to validate that. "Lucy Raymore" was named executrix of "her husband's estate.
