James “Jim” A. Faulkner, Sr., 70, died in his Marion home November 30, 2016. He was born in Williamsburg, Kentucky, to the late William and Nora (Lawson) Faulkner.

Jim was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served from 1964-1966. He received his Associate’s degree in Architecture from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. Throughout his life, Jim worked in construction. He also worked at Gen Corp, where he did troubleshooting for factories all over the United States. He worked there for 20 years until his retirement in 2000. Jim was a Mason and served as past master of Converse Lodge and current member of Jonesboro Lodge 601 F&AM.

Jim had a great sense of humor. He always looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, and he was very close to his daughter. Jim also loved his dog, “Sadie Lady”, who was always by his side. Riding his Harley motorcycle and playing guitar were a couple of his favorite things to do in his leisure time.

Survivors include his children, James A. Faulkner, Jr., Marion, Wendy Cahill, Converse, Travis Faulkner, Marion, and Eddie Faulkner, Tennessee; grandchildren, James A. Faulkner, III, Michelle Faulkner, Damian Faulkner, Brenden Cahill, Kenny Cahill, and Kaylie Cahill; great-grandson, Trynten Faulkner; siblings, Frank (Wilma) Faulkner, Arnold (Colleen) Manholan, and Phronie (Willie) Jones; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Faulkner and Clayton Faulkner; sister, Louetta Hamblin; granddaughter, Nikki Cahill; and nephew, Jerry Bell.
