According to Nettie's granddaughter, Cindy Skolte Zetah, Ed and Nettie were married on November 25, 1902. They were the parents of one daughter. The marriage ended in divorce.

Services Held Thursday for Edward Widste

Funeral services for Edward K. Widste were held from the Adams Funeral Home and the Marshall Lutheran Church, M. L. Witte, pastor, officiating, on Thursday, January 22.

Edward K. Widste was born of parents Knut and Siri Wiste on March 8, 1879 in Clayton Township. He was baptized and confirmed in the Marshall Lutheran Church of which he has been a life time member. He was united in marriage in November of 1902 to Nettie Viste. To this union was born one daughter Hazel. They have both preceded him in death.

Six years ago he sold his farm which had been his home all his life and moved into the village of Adams where he lived until his death on Monday, January 19. He was 73 years, 10 months and 12 days old. Although Mr. Widste had been in declining health for some time, he was able to be up to the last.

He was the last member of the Widste family having been preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Andrew and Albert, and two sisters, Mrs. Arne Rebne and Maria Loten of Norway.

Survivors include the following nieces and nephews; Mrs. Wm. Wohlers and Mrs. Lee Hamilton of Adams; Clarence Rebne of East Troy, Wis.; Mrs. Myrtle Jacobs, Clarence Wistey, Edwin Wistey and Glen Wistey from Clear Lake, Iowa; and one niece and five nephews in Norway.

Pallbearers were Oscar L. Anderson, Oscar Benson, Melvin Lewison, Arthur Peterson, Carl Snorthum and Oli Underdahl.

Relatives from a distance attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. William Glasrud, Mrs. Henry Burtness and Mrs. Harkon Johnson of Spring Grove, Minn., Mrs. Pete Olson of Rochester and her daughter Mrs. E. Guy of Grand Meadow.
