1918 - 2005
Louise Harper Adamson, age 86, passed away on March 6, 2005. She has been a resident of Carpenter's Creek Community in Pensacola the past 15 years.
She was born March 16, 1918 in Albany, GA. After graduating from the University of Kansas, Louise married Homer Drewry Adamson of Atlanta in 1938. She was a social worker for the state of Georgia until she became a mother of the first of three daughters. The Adamson family moved from Atlanta to Birmingham in 1957 where Louise was active in her church, Girl Scouts and school activities. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and United Daughters of the Confederacy.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Homer Drewry Adamson.
Survivors include daughters, Susan McClellan and husband, Ken of Gulf Breeze, Florida; Barbara Gambrell and husband, Mike of Navarre, FL; and Janice Pioretta and husband, John of Gadsden, AL.
A private internment will be held in Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, AL. A family memorial service will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Louise Adamson to BellSouth Pioneers.
