William Lincoln Robertson is the son of Elixander Robertson (Sr.) and Janett Forbes. Hus parents were both Scotish and had immigrated first to Canada then to the US and California.

Over time, the couple acquired 20,000 acres of land and ran a sheep farm.

William had two brothers, Elixander (Jr.) and Charles Edward, and a sister, Margaret Cecilia.

William was married three times. Two of his wives were married twice.

William first married Mary Elizabeth Shook in about 1889. The couple had six children:

Mabel I (or J) Robertson - b. 1889
Everett R Robertson - 1892-1961
Hazel Marguerette Robertson - 1898-1986
Lorene M Robertson - b. 1899
Roy Frederick Robertson - 1904-1956
Alice Robertson - 1906-1999

The 1910 census shows that the entire family was living in Arcata in Humboldt county.

By 1920, William and Mary Elizabeth had divorced. Mary had married a man with the last name of Kellogg but was not living with him. She was living in a boarding house with her three youngest children: Lorene, Roy and Alice.

Hazel had moved to San Francisco and on to Los Angeles where she married Robert Lovelace Barrett.

In 1918, Everett was working as a timekeeper for the Hammond Lumber Company and living in Arcata. He died in 1961.

We have no information on what became of Mabel.

By 1920, William Lincoln Robertson had married Annie Post.

By 1930, William had married Georgina A. LePage. She had been married before. Her daughter, Charmion Milotte (unsure of spelling) lived with the couple Orleans Village in Humboldt county.

William had several professions: sheep rancher with his parents and siblings, laborer, hotel keeper, notary public, saloon keeper, and enumerator of the 1930 census.

He died of bronchial pneumonia.
