Hannah Elizabeth Stroud was born in Hamblin county, Tennessee, September 1, 1845. She was united in marriage to T.C. Yarbrough December 25, 1861. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Yarbrough. The husband and three children, Charles, Cora and Joseph preceded her in death. Surviving are James Yarbrough of Blackwell, Okla., J.T. Yarbrough of Little River, Kansas, Frank Yarbrough and Mrs. Aaron Moore of Piedmont, and Sam Yarbrough of Wichita. all of whom were at her bedside when she passed away. She leaves eleven grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Yarbrough both united with the Baptist church early in life. Later Mrs.Yarbrough transferred her membership to the Christian church at Piedmont where she remained a faithful member until her death, April 12, 1927, at the advanced age of 81 years, 7 months and 11 days. She was a good mother and a faithful wife. Her last words to her friends were that her way was clear, and that her neighbors could be her judge here.
