Anthony J. Scaltrito, Jr., 76, of Hammonton passed away peacefully Saturday at his residence. Born in Hammonton he was a lifelong resident there. He formerly worked at Whitehall Laboratories and Kessler Clothing Shop as a computer operator, before going to Harrah's and Tropicana as a craps dealer. He was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School Class of 1954. Mr. Scaltrito was a United States Navy Veteran. Mr. Scaltrito loved to hunt, go crabbing and work in his garden. He was predeceased by his wife Joan and his son David. Mr. Scaltrito is survived by his two daughters Karen Ottinger and her spouse Chalky of Vineland, Sharon Scaltrito and her friend Louis Granato, Sr. of Hammonton, two sisters, Kathleen Buglio of Hobe Sound, FL; Patricia Allen of Peabody, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Parish, Church of St. Joseph's, Hammonton, where a viewing was held. Burial in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Hammonton.
