Fred A. Donnini, 87, of Dunmore, died Sunday afternoon at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, the former Marie Bonavoglia.

Born in Dunmore, son of the late Anthony and Santa Bouselli Donnini, he was a graduate of Dunmore High School and a member of SS. Anthony and Rocco Parish. Before retirement, he worked as a truck driver for Friedman's Express.

He was secretary of the Dunmore Sportsman Hunting Club in Beach Lake and was an avid outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed many years of trips to Canada, boating and fishing in the Lawrence River since the young age of 15. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Also surviving are a son, Fred and wife Theresa, Lake Ariel; daughters, Santa Burne and husband, Fran; Judy DePietro and husband, Tom; Donna Gianzanti; and Rosemary Ciaglia and husband, Rick, all of Dunmore; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; an uncle and best friend, Anthony Bouselli; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and four sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law.

He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter; Michelle Burne; a sister, Dolores Fahey; and a son-in-law, Paul "Ellie" Gianzanti.

The funeral will be Friday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc., 318 E. Drinker St., Dunmore, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua Church, Smith Street, Dunmore. Interment, Dunmore Cemetery
