Phyllis Gail Pegram, 86 of Springdale left this world and entered into her eternal resting home Monday, June 19, 2023. She was born January 1, 1937 in Denton, Ark., the daughter of William G. Smith and Nellie McLeod Smith.

She was a dedicated, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very active member of Cross Church in Springdale, where she worked in many ministries such as the music ministry in nursing homes, a clown ministry and taking flowers to patients at hospitals. She also was a 2nd grade Sunday School teacher for many years and a faithful prayer warrior for Christ. She had a passion for reading, and enjoyed working in her flower gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Pegram and three children, Jim Lawson, Billy Lawson, Kathy Laughter, seven brothers, and four sisters.

Survivors include a son, Terry Lawson of Springdale, Ark.; daughters, Donna Dosch of Chelsea, Okla., Regina Pegram of Claremore, Okla., Amy Eggebroten and husband, Floyd of Marietta, Ga., stepdaughter, Barbara Noel and husband, Ronnie of Fayetteville, Ark., 10 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Ave. Springdale, Ark. with Reverend Charlie Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home.
