QUIGLEY, Katherine Marie, age 50 of Farmersville, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Dayton, OH. She was born November 7, 1966 in Kettering to Kenneth and Margaret S. "Peggy" (Barber) Carr of Kettering.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Thomas "Scott" Quigley and her parents-in-law, Thomas A. and JoAnn Quigley. In addition to her parents, Kathy is survived by her beloved son, Kyle Thomas Quigley; her brother, William Scott (Anna) Carr of Miamisburg; her little canine companions, Buddy and Bella; sister-in-law, Sharon Quigley of Celina; nieces, Sarah, Madelyn, Tori and Cyrielle; aunts and uncles, Judy and George Johnson, Jeanelle and Scott Higgins, Polly North, Pat Quigley, Keith and Sharon Carr, and Bill and Charlotte Quigley as well as numerous cousins. Kathy was a 1985 graduate of Fairmont High School and acquired her nursing degree from Wright State University. She began her career with Kettering Memorial Hospital and had also worked for Dayton Children's Hospital in the Almost Home, Emergency and Transport departments. She later completed her Masters in Pediatric Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. Most recently her work was centered around the education of her students as a Professor of Pediatric Nursing for Sinclair Community College. She also continued her practice as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner for Dayton Children's Urgent Care in Springboro on the weekends. Kathy dedicated her life to her son, her family and her students. She was a member of various nursing organizations and supported the many activities that interested her son, Kyle.
