Charles J. Wood, Sr., president of the William C. Wood Company, heating engineers, 18 North Howard street, died yesterday at his home, Edmondston avenue and Beechwood avenue, Catonsville. Death followed an illness of three weeks.
Mr. Wood, who was 78 years old, was a Civil War veteran, having fought in several campaigns with the Union Army. He is survived by three sons (Charles J. Wood, Edward M. Wood and Arthur R. Wood) and a daughter (Miss Leta R. Wood). The funeral will be held Tuesday from the home and burial will be in Druid Ridge Cemetery.
