Obituary:
JAEGGLI, CAROLYN L. Died February 3 of natural causes at her home in Riverside, California. She was 87. Born July 7, 1919, in Shenandoah, Iowa, she attended Colorado Women's College, and the University of Denver. In 1941, she married John L. Jaeggli, a career Air Force officer. They were stationed in New Mexico, Colorado, France, South Carolina, and Texas before transfer to Riverside. Carolyn served on her parish vestry and the boards of numerous civic groups, including Riverside General Hospital Auxiliary, Riverside Municipal Museum, Riverside Historical Society, Riverside National Cemetery Support Committee, and Riverside Community Players, from whom she received the Chester Hess Award in 1994. She was also a member of Rebekah Lodge, Society of Military Widows, Daughters of the American Revolution, Mayflower Society, Fairmont Park Citizens Committee, Downtown Renaissance, Friends of the Fox, Friends of the Library, and a tireless volunteer for the Riverside County Philharmonic. She is survived by her three children, Johanna Harden of Parker, CO, Mary Jaeggli-Buttles of Silverton, OR, and Nathaniel Jaeggli of Coos Bay, OR, as well as eight grand children, Denise Harden and Tyler Harden, Rebekah Fisher and Jason Buttles, and Joel Jaeggli, Susanna Ramos, Jacob Jaeggli and Sarah Jaeggli, and five great grand children. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 18, at 10:00 AM at All Saints Episcopal Church in Riverside, followed by a reception at the church. Burial will take place Tuesday, February 21, at 9:00 AM at Riverside National Cemetery.
