George was born on March 3, 1946 in Putnam, CT, a son of the late Herve J. and Elizabeth (Boutin) LaRoche. He married Nancy L. Gilman on February 14, 1997.
Prior to his retirement, George worked at Amgraph as a quality control inspector in Versailles, CT. George had an extreme passion for higher learning. He believed in getting and striving for the best education available. He would often talk to his younger grandchildren and his great-grandchildren about the importance of this. He often went out of his way to ensure that he passed on any information to the kids.
George was an Engineer by trade and had a degree in Physics. He had a love for statistics and math. He will be dearly missed by so many.
Besides his wife Nancy, he leaves behind his daughter, Dawn Brack and husband Ron of FL, son, Todd Hale and wife Oulie of VA, three stepchildren: Donna Mark Plainfield, CT, Ted Gilman Jewett City, CT and Jennifer Gilman Killingly, CT, 12 Grandchildren: Christine Hart and Travis Vandale of Danielson, CT, Danny and Jaime Hart of Moosup, CT, Justyn Gilman of Canterbury, CT, Austin Gilman of Jewett City, CT, Rhiannon Lefevre of Killingly, CT, Tyler and Chase Brack of FL and McKenna , Raymond and Cheyanne Hale of VA, two great –grandsons: Nicholas Flynn and Calvin Vandale of Danielson, CT. He also leaves a brother, Charles LaRoche.
