Charles L. Biette was the son of the late Charles and Matilda Noonan Biette. He had lived in Halfmoon for the past 80 years. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the European Theater. Mr. Biette worked for West Virginia Pulp and Paper as a steam turbine operator for 28 years before working for the Saratoga County Treatment Plant for eight years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the VFW in Mechanicville, a member of Corpus Christi Church, Halfmoon Senior Citizens and was one of the founding members of the Hill Crest Fire Department. He enjoyed family gatherings and was an avid New York Yankee fan. Charles never missed his greatnephews' baseball or football games. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Etella Rever Biette of Halfmoon; three sisters, Catherine Chase of Mechanicville, Joan Reckner of Clifton Park and Barbara Sears of Mechanicville.
