Hettie Walpole, 78, died at a.m. Saturday at the Crestview Nursing Home at Clinton. She had been in failing health for 6V4 years.

She was born March 5, 1891, at Brownstown, Ind., daughter of Frank and the Mary Snder Thevenot. She married Linn Walpole March, 1922. He died in March, 1967,

Survivors are a daughter. Mrs. Evelyn Thomas. Hermosa Beach, Calif.: three brothers. Albert, Woodstock : Jake, Sharon. Wis., and Henry, San Diego, Calif.; two sisters. Mrs. Theresa Best, Morris, and Mrs. Grace Gensen, Crystal Lake; two grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A son. a sister and a step brother preceded Mrs. Walpole in death.

She was a member of the Weldon United Methodist 'Church and the Rebekah Lodge.
