Joanne R. Blaum, 62, of Wilkes-Barre, died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2016, in Celtic In-Patient Unit, Geisinger, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of the late Martin F. and Clare Rose Murphy Barberio and was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School. Joanne worked, most recently, as a loan servicing specialist at Navient and prior to that for AAA Automobile Club and Vulcan Iron Works. She loved animals, enjoyed arts and crafts, watching Penn State football and enjoyed an occasional trip to the casino. She was a big Disney fan and loved decorating for holidays.

Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Frank Blaum; daughters, Jennifer Polemitis and her husband, Yuannis, Wilkes-Barre; Amanda Hebda and her husband, Mike, Wilkes-Barre; sister, Mary Clare Keithline and her husband, Francis, Wilkes-Barre; two grandchildren that she loved dearly, Yuannis and Victoria; several nieces and nephews and her faithful dog, Sophie.

A memorial service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc., 689 Hazle Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. James MaGahagan of St. Andrew's Parish officiating.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

Friends are invited to visit, Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA or Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge.
