The service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Clontarf. Burial will be in St. Malachy Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at St. Francis Catholic Church in Benson with a rosary at 5:30 p.m., a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at St. Malachy. Arrangements are with Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.
She was born Aug. 8, 1915, in Swift County to William and Gerda (Tengvall) Swanson. She grew up in Swift County and graduated from Benson High School in 1933. She taught in rural schools before her marriage.
She married William Boutain on Sept. 25, 1939, in Clontarf. She was a homemaker and graduated from the University of Minnesota in Morris with her bachelor's degree in education. She taught in a rural Swift County, St. Francis in Benson, St. Philips in Litchfield, Holy Family in Sauk Centre and at Benson Public School until she retired in 1992.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975; son-in-law: Milt Mattice; one sister; and an infant brother.
