Son of June Carol Wyatt and Louis Thomas Rebollini; step-son of Evart Carrol Kenville; half-brother of Christine Lee Kenville Craigo. He assumed his step-father's surname.
Vernon was born in San Francisco, California, his father's home town. He attended Reno and Yerington schools and was a graduate of Yerington High School where he participated in basketball, football and pole vaulting. He lived with his grandmother, Christine Wyatt, during his high school years. In his honor the Vernon Kenville Memorial Award is awarded annually to the best sophomore football player at YHS. At age 19, on Thanksgiving Day 1958, he died in a single-car accident outside of Yerington. He is buried in the Wyatt plot with his maternal grandparents and two uncles.
