MARTIN - Edwina Adams Campbell, 85, of Martin, died July 23, 2001, at Methodist Healthcare Volunteer Hospital.

Visitation will be from 5 - 8pm Tuesday at Murphy Funeral Home and Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time at Ralston Baptist Church. Following visitation at the church, services will begin at 11 a.m. with Reverend Scott Penick and Reverend Fady Al-Hagal officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery.

Jay Howard Pettit, Jason Adam Campbell, James Monroe Pettit, Timothy Shaw, Tommy Simmons, and Denny Simmons will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Campbell was born April 16, 1916, in Weakley County, to the late Will and Lucille Atkins Adams. She was retired from Merritt Clothing Company. She was a member of Ralston Baptist Church, Century #21 Club, and Gardner Ladies Club.

Survivors include a son, Rick Campbell of Martin; a daughter, Janice Pettit of Martin; a brother, Joe T. Adams of Martin; a sister, Sarah Adams Simmons of Martin; five-grandchildren, Tracy Shaw, Jay Pettit, Jason Campbell, Jamie Pettit, and Jana Pettit; and two great-grandchildren, Allie Katherine Shaw and Allison Vaughan Pettit.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. W. Campbell.
