Mrs. Childers was born in Cherry Valley to the late Clarence Ira Williams and Mrytle Elizabeth (Catlett) Williams. She was a member of the Wynne Church of God where she taught the Primary Sunday School Class for over 40 years. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and the Women's Ministries. She met with the same group of "the ladies coffee bunch" almost every weekday for forty years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Willis "W.N." Childers in 1987; a brother: Buddy Williams; and a sister: Janette Doris Williams.

Lois is survived by her sons: Mike Childers, Kerry Childers and Jeff Childers; a daughter: Denise Vawter; a brother: Elbert Williams; sisters: Aileen Johnson, Joan McPherson, Virginia Holyfield, Marie Cornelius, Carol Lednick and Joyce Williams; ten grandchildren.
