Anice Grooms, of Koshkonong, the daughter of Pete and Mabel (Grayson) Norman, was born February 20, 1911 at Couch, MO. She departed this life June 19, 1984 at the West Plains Memorial Hospital, at the age of 73 years.
She was united in marriage November 26, 1930 at Alton, MO to Floyd Grooms.
She was a member of the Norman Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Survivors include her husband, Floyd Grooms of Koshkonong, MO; one son, Ray Grooms of Koshkonong, MO; one daughter, Fern Reed of Salem, AR; one brother, Wilburn Norman of Mammoth Spring, AR; three sisters, Audra Moore of Alton, MO; Leta Pierce of Ozark, MO; and Iva Dobbs of San Gabriel, CA; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 21, in the Carter Funeral Chapel in Thayer, MO, with Rev. Lewis Shrable officiating. Interment was in New Salem Cemetery under the direction of of Carter Funeral Home, Thayer.
