Gus D. Anton , 70, operator of a hat cleaning and shoe shine parlor on the west side of the Bedford public square for years, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Dunn Memorial Hospital Tuesday. Time of death was set at 2:35 PM.

Mr. Anton, a native of Calavryta, Greece, resided at 928 Eighteenth Street. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Helenic Church, Indianapolis and the K of P Lodge in Tunnelton.

He was the son of James and Mary Kalousin Anton and was born February 17, 1896. He married Josephine Boruff on March 15, 1944 and she died August 27, 1966.

Surviving are two brothers, Pete in Greece and John of Gary ; three sisters, Helen Metroplis, Bess Pallikaris and Acrivoula Tcsene, all of Greece ; three nephews, including Tom Anton of Gary, two nieces and a sister-n-law, Mrs. Louella Fordyce of Bedford.

Day and Carter Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements and friends may call there after 7 PM today. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Friday at the Day and Carter Mortuary. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery.
