HAMPSHIRE - Marvlyn A. "Marv" Seyller, 92, of Hampshire passed away Wednesday evening Dec. 14, 2016 in his home. He was born January 24, 1924, the son of Henry and Marie (Fohrman) Seyller. Marv was a member of the 1941 Class of Hampshire High School and served in the U.S. Army during WWII from Feb. 1943 to Dec. 1945. Following his military service, Marv married Celestine "Sally" Deters on June 22, 1946 at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Hamsphire. Marv had several occupations during his career including operating Seyller Grocery Store and as a co-owner of DeLaval Dairy supplies both in Hampshire. He was a lifelong and dedicated member of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and life member of the VFW Post 8043. Surviving are his loving wife of 70 years, Sally; two daughters, Karen (Ken) Van Vleet, and Cathy Ballee; son in law, Randall Fiske; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd (Doris) Seyller; and many nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved daughter Connie Fiske in 2009; siblings, Vernon Seyller, Lorena Reiser, Viola Blank DeVine, Florence Schneider Wilkinson, and Floyd Seyller in infancy. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday, Dec. 20 at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson Ave, Hampshire. Burial with Military Honors will be in the St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, Dec. 19 from 3 to 7 pm with rosary at 2:45 pm at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St, Hampshire. In lieu of flowers, masses or memorials may be directed to the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Information 847-683-2711.
