Abram was a World War I veteran, serving from 1918-19.
He married Hazel K. King in 1915 in Fancy Prairie, Illinois. They had four children: Paul Erwin, Sarah Jane, Charles P. ~1922-? and Ivan A. ~1926-?.
In 1920 Abram and Hazel were living with Hazel's parents and were farmers in Fancy Prairie. By 1930 he was a fruit farmer in Hidalgo county, Texas.
By 1940 they were living in Petersburg, Illinois, where Abram was a manager at the rural electric company.
Abram moved to Sun City, Arizona in 1960. After Hazel died he had a second marriage to Edith E. Doyle.
He was a member of the United Church.
Abram was survived by his wife Edith; daughter Sarah McGary; sons Charles (Jane) Becker of Springfield, Illinois and Ivan (Mary) Becker of Oswego, Illinois; and two sisters.
