Bev Decker, 70, of Jacksonville, IL died Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born November 23, 1946 in Ashland, IL, the daughter of Lyle and Sarah Olive Brockman Barbee.
She is survived by four children, Michael Decker (wife, Andrea) of Centralia, Doreen Ferguson (husband, Frank) of Adamsville, TN, Melanie Workman (companion, Matt Shirkey) of Arenzville, and Mitzi Decker (fiancé, Michael Teeters) of Jacksonville; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lyletta Searle of Morgan, UT and Linda Morrow of Springfield; and eight nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rich Barbee.
Bev was a graduate of Ashland High School and a shift manager at the McDonald’s restaurant for 25 years. She loved flower gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family. And she enjoyed time spent with her friends drinking coffee at McDonald’s.
Cremation has been accorded. A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Monday, December 19, 2016, at the Buchanan & Cody Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to the family.
