LaDonna Vardell departed this life Monday, Dec.12, 2016, in Lawton.
Rosary service will be be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church.
Arrangements are under direction of Hart-Wyatt Funeral Home, Walters.
Barbara LaDonna (Billen) Vardell was born Aug. 18, 1927, to Henry and Mary Billen in Walters. LaDonna grew up at Walters. She married Virgil Pierce "V.P." Vardell on May 13, 1946, and to the union two children were born: Linda McCammon and Gary Vardell.
LaDonna and V.P. made their home in Walters. They enjoyed going to Lake Texhoma fishing and also many years of farming. Barbara enjoyed every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as, taking her dog to the park and visiting friends.
She worked at and retired from the Haggar slacks factory in Temple, and was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Walters.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil P. Vardell on Dec. 26, 1985; three brothers: Xavier Billen, Elvis Billen, and Paul Billen; and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law.
Survivers include a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Steve McCammon of Walters; a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Oveta Vardell of Allen, Texas; four grandchildren: Sheri and Rick Bitsche, Sondra and Jason Easley, Arvid Vardell, and Gara and Clayton Little; great-grandchildren: Skyler Smith, Shaelyn Smith, Jace Curry, Jaryn Curry, Sienna Easley, Nate Vardell, Pierce Little and Lilly Grace Little; and many other relatives and friends.
