Robert "Bob" Aban, 56, of Santa Cruz, CA and son of the late Romeo and Jane C. Aban, passed away on May 4, 2014 at Dominican Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
He is survived by his loving wife Lori of 26 years and his children Kevin, Jason and Jillian, who were the pride of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Maria Igel (Jack) of Ripon, WI, his brothers John Aban (Rose) of Stockton, Romeo Aban Jr. of Sacramento, Oscar Aban (Nella) of Sacramento, Richard Aban (Karen) of Stockton, CA and by several nephews and nieces.
Bob was an alumni of San Jose State, served with the US Air Force and worked at Western Digital of San Jose, CA as a software engineer for 12 years. He loved photography, attending his children's sporting events, fishing, and cycling. He will be heavily missed by his family and friends.
Viewing will be held at Oakwood Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Road, in Santa Cruz on Monday, May 12, 2014 from 11am to 2pm, followed by graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, donations to his children's education fund c/o Wells Fargo Bank Account #2531934640 would be greatly appreciated. Please join us for a celebration of Bob's life.
