She was a longtime resident of Houston. Frances was preceded in death by her beloved husband C.C. Gilger, her parents Eugene Jean and Consuelo Eschmann and her brother Arnold Eschmann. She is survived by her twin sister Rosemary Ryan, brothers Eugene J. Eschmann and Karl A. Eschmann. Nieces and nephews: Eugene J. Eschmann, Jr., Stephanie Eschmann Oehrlein and husband Mike, Col. Karl J. Eschmann and wife Charlotte, Ronald Eschmann, Kathleen Norberg, Denise and husband Bob Burton, Gerald and wife Megan Ryan, Sean and wife Teresa Ryan, Brendan Ryan, Colman Ryan and Colin Ryan. Grand nieces and nephews: Kristen Norberg, Kevin and Marissa Burton, Shane and Taylor Ryan and Dylan Ryan. In earlier years she was an avid horsewoman and was the first woman to play polo in Houston. She loved sailing, fencing and being with her beloved Chihuahuas, Francesca and Cyrus.
