Adella C. Heitkamp, 75, 2105 Jefferson St., Maria Stein, died at 7:40 p.m. Feb. 17 at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She had been ill six months. She was born July 13, 1926, in Egypt, to Bernard and Ursula (Rutschilling) Wehrman. On April 24, 1947, she married Arthur 'Johnny' Heitkamp and he died Feb. 26, 1998. Surviving are five sons and their wives, Donald and Elaine of Pagosa Springs, Colo., Patrick and Cindy, Alan and Sandy and Leon and Elaine, all of Maria Stein, and Philip and Theresa of New Bremen; two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Edward Demange, North Star, and Anita and Fred Wuebker Jr., Minster; two brothers and their wives, Albert and Alberta Wehrman and Eugene and Margie Wehrman, all of Egypt; a sister and her husband, Olivia and Joseph Eilerman, Botkins, and a sister, Viola Bruns, Coldwater; 26 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. An infant son is deceased. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at Community Hospital, Coldwater, and the Maria Stein Center. She was a member of St. John Catholic Church and St. Anne Ladies Sodality, both of Maria Stein. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Emil Labbe officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Wednesday and 9-10 a.m. Thursday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
