In loving memory of Mamie G. Lain, 87, of Amarillo, died Sunday, May 14, 2000.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in East Amarillo Church of Christ with Bill Goodwin minister, and Rick Elms, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage Street.
Mrs. Lain was born in Sylvestor and lived in Amarillo 64 years. In 1981 she retired from East Amarillo Church of Christ where she also was a member.
She married George Vernon Lain in 1929. He died in 1952. She also was preceded in death by a son, Barton Lain, in 1981.
Survivors include three daughters, Georgia Young and Vickie Schultz-Crow, both of Amarillo and Patty Bryant of Villa Park, California; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home and Family Services Inc.; East Amarillo Church of Christ; Crown of Texas Hospice; or Bivins Memorial.
